With the start of operations in April, the new Tecnofit Personal feature already hasmore than 5,000 registered professionalsand coverage inmore than 900 cities from the 26 statesBrazilians and from the Federal District. The tool has already been registeredmore than 100,000 student registrationsinterested in hiring a personal trainer. The search engine allows applying filters such as location, specialty, price, and type of service (online or in-person), optimizing the connection between demand and supply. Additionally, it offers the service through web or mobile access, which greatly facilitates accessibility for students.
"The idea arose organically when we realized that about 50% of the app downloads came from students seeking a personal trainer. With that, we saw the opportunity to connect this demand to our pool of professionals. According to an internal survey with the company's client base, 40% of personal trainers identify acquiring new students as one of the biggest challenges of the profession, and the new Tecnofit Personal feature aims to address exactly this issue.
The news accompanies the growth of the fitness market in Brazil and worldwide. According to theGlobal Wellness InstituteThe global well-being economy is expected to reach $8.5 trillion by 2027. Furthermore, Brazil is already the second country with the highest number of gyms in the world, with around 35,000 units. It is estimated that between 10% and 20% of visitors hire a personal trainer at some point in their journey.
