More than 80% of Bora Zé participants have already managed to re-enter the formal job market 180 days after completing the program, created in 2023, in an initiative led by Ambev and Zé Delivery, its beverage delivery platform, which is present in 714 Brazilian cities. Bora's initiative, the company's productive inclusion platform, is focused on this segment of the population, as well as their families, offering opportunities for financial empowerment, professional development, and connections within the Ambev ecosystem, in addition to providing scholarships for supplementary elementary and high school education.
The educational and employability benefits of Bora Zé, which operates nationwide, have already impacted more than two thousand people directly and indirectly. The partnership with Generation Brazil, a global NGO focused on education for work, and the companies Analytica Ensino and Eduk, which operate in the formal education and online courses sector, drives the creation of new perspectives for the participants, such as Daniela Oliveira, 31, one of the students of Bora Zé. She says she learned about the initiative through her husband, who worked as a delivery person for Zé Delivery. "I became interested in the project and the proposal, which, with psychological support and benefits, were essential for my development. Due to my daughter's school adaptation, I was worried about being able to contribute and stay in the project, but all the support and care they provided made their concern for the participants clear. Today, I achieved my goal and am working at BEES," she reports, having been hired by the company's B2B platform.
One of Bora Zé's pillars is connection, so delivery people and family members with a high school diploma will also have access to a monthly knowledge pathway to connect them with job opportunities within the Ambev ecosystem in the areas of sales, retail, commercial, and logistics. For delivery drivers who do not have a complete high school education, the project offers free supplementary school scholarships, where immediately after completion, the individual is automatically connected to the knowledge pathway for the job market. "With Bora, we are not only opening doors for our ecosystem, we are putting more people in the game and, together, we are creating opportunities with a real positive impact for society as a whole," comments Carlos Pignatari, Ambev's Social Impact Director.
