The Brazilian Cryptoeconomics Association (ABcripto) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) launch today, 10/11/2024, theCounterattack, innovative tool focused on investor protection and education. The goal is to help the public recognize potential investment offer scams through a series of simple and straightforward questions.
ContraGolpe works as a first line of defense, assessing the risk of fraud and issuing a report with educational guidelines on the main points of attention.“ContraGolpe offers a valuable starting point for each user to investigate further and seek guidance from certified professionals. It is important to remember that the tool does not guarantee investment security nor does it replace more detailed research by the investor.”, affirms Bernardo Srur, CEO of ABcripto.

The World Investor Week is coordinated by the CVM within the scope of the IOSCO Retail Investors Committee (Committee 8 – C8) and promoted in over 100 member countries of the organization. The WIW was launched in 2017 as a pilot project, following a proposal from the CVM to develop a global campaign for investor protection and education.

The project is part of the cooperation agreement established between ABCripto and CVM, which aims to expand financial education in Brazil and develop educational campaigns about new financial technologies, such as blockchain, crypto economy, and decentralized finance (DeFi).
