AZapping, Chilean startup that holds a TV streaming platform, gained a significant boost to accelerate its expansion plan within the domestic market. The CEO and co-founder of the brand, Gustavo Morandé, has just moved to São Paulo with the aim of strengthening operations in the country, which today has 20 thousand subscribers. By 2025, the company's goal is to reach the mark of 150 thousand customers in the country. Adding the operation in Brazil, Chile, Ecuador and Peru, the platform currently has over 250 thousand subscribers.

From the change, Morandé joins a team of 24 professionals who work directly in the Brazilian operation. When we talk about Brazil, we are dealing with a culture and languages different from the rest of Latin America, in addition to a gigantic territorial extension. This results in technical and branding challenges that require special attention, details the CEO.

In addition to the arrival of the executive, the expansion strategy in the national scenario also involves attracting investments that, together, must total the mark ofUS$ 10 million. The first of the financial injections should be formalized this month of November, in total ofUS$ 2 millionnext to the Broota platform, that uses the crowdfunding model to encourage startups and innovation companies in Latin America. The remainder will be raised alongside investment funds, family offices and investors linked to the television industry.

According to the CEO, 60%of the total amount raised, it must be allocated to enhancing the Brazilian operation. The amount should be used with a focus on marketing and growth actions, in addition to the consolidation of the sales team, once the technological structure of Zapping is already stabilized in the country. Brazil represents a special scenario in Latin America. With the agreements and contracts with the major brands that we have, I am convinced that we can grow a lot throughout Brazilian territory. As we reach a level close to what we achieved in Chile, we can reach a base of millions of subscribers, add Morandé.

Another expansion initiative involves the growth of the brand within the ISP market. Integrated with the main certified ERPs in the country, Zapping plans to expand its presence in the sector through partnerships with internet service providers. For that, the platform bets on exclusivity with some of the main broadcasters in the country and the world for the streaming market, besides the strong connectivity structure, that guarantees your presence in all regions of the national territory, without requiring extra investments from partner ISPs
