Research reveals which companies Brazilians really love to work for

The employer branding HUB, ILoveMyJob, released the rankingAmadas Empresas, which lists the most loved companies to work for in Brazil. The research aims to highlight organizations that understand and meet the expectations of talents, in addition to mapping the trends and practices that shape the labor market in the country

The survey heard from 865 professionals from different regions of Brazil, with predominance in the Southeast and South, to identify companies that stand out in people management and in creating work environments based on well-being, innovation and purpose. The most representative sectors were tech companies, industries and other sectors with a higher share of senior-level professionals (35%) and leadership (30%). 

At the top of the national ranking is Natura, Vale and Grupo Boticário, recognized for modern management practices, innovation strategies and connection with employee values. Multinationals like Google and Microsoft also appeared among the mentions of respondents as examples of global reference in technology and innovation. Despite that, the ranking exclusively highlights companies that operate in Brazil and meet the specificities of the local market

What makes a company admired by its employees

According to the survey, the most valued factors for defining an ideal work environment include

  • Positive organizational climate (18%)
  • Transparency and efficient communication (16%)
  • Autonomy (12%)
  • Flexibility (11%)
  • Valuation and recognition (10%)
  • Respectful and inclusive environment (9%)

Another highlight was the growing use of technology and social media in attracting and retaining talent. Platforms like LinkedIn were mentioned by 46% of respondents as the main channel for searching for opportunities, followed by networking (32%) and job sites (15%)

The inclusion of "Own Business" in the Top 10, according to the survey, reflects a trend indicated by respondents in search of greater autonomy in their careers. The main reasons for termination highlighted in the survey were poor compensation (45%), absence of career plan (30%) and workload overload (15%)

Main trends observed in the ranking

In addition to the initiatives of the better-positioned companies, the study pointed out some trends

  • B2C FocusB2C companies, like Natura and Grupo Boticário, they strengthened their presence through a strong investment in employer branding
  • Differentiated corporate benefitsCompanies are increasingly offering more benefits beyond the traditional package. The Boticário Group, for example, stood out for the Pet Assistance, an innovation in the market. The study analyzes that, possibly, the choice of benefits came from active listening to the employees and, thus, reflects on the well-being of all of them
  • Digital transformationInvestments in technology and digitalization drive modern and dynamic work environments. Companies like Itaú stand out in this regard
  • InnovationAll the companies in the ranking prioritize innovation, regardless of the sector. Nature, Vale and Grupo Boticário, for example, constantly seek new solutions and ways to improve processes
  • ESGMost companies prioritize ESG (Environmental, Social e Governança, with good corporate practices, sustainability and social responsibility and good, that bring significant impact for attracting and retaining talent. 
  • FlexibilityHybrid and remote models remain preferred among talents and contribute to a healthy balance between the professional and personal life of the employee
  • SectorThe 2024 ranking showed a dominance of companies in the energy sector, driven by interest in ESG and sustainability.
