According to the + Value research, carried out by Ticket, Edenred Brazil brand of Benefits and Engagement, the offer of the delivery service by more than 4,5 thousand restaurants interviewed in the five regions of the country increased by four percentage points, from 44% in 2023 to 48% this year. The recovery occurred after a drop of 16 p.p. between 2022 and 2023 (from 60% to 44%)
The national average was boosted by the regions that stood out in the survey. In the North, the share of restaurants offering delivery service jumped from 28% to 64%. In the sequence, the Midwest appears, that went from 43% to 59% in the same period. The South grew from 42% to 50%. With a more stable increase, from 47% to 48%, the Southeast Region came in fourth place. The Northeast was the only one that showed a decline, from 37% to 36%
The survey also showed that 56% of restaurants use their own channels to receive orders. "The data helps establishments and companies related to the delivery sector to have a better understanding of market trends and to make more informed decisions regarding their businesses", comment Nathália Ghiotto, product director at Ticket
Four in ten people order food via delivery
Another survey conducted by Ticket, with almost ten thousand people, revealed that 40% of Brazilians have the habit of ordering food via delivery and that 11% make one to two orders per week. When analyzing only Generation Z consumers, aged between 15 and 28 years, this percentage rises to 51%
According to the brand, thefast foodit is the most requested category in the delivery mode, followed by "Brazilian food", snack bar, pizzeria and meats.
