Amazon Brazil has announced another stage in the expansion of its FBA – Amazon Logistics program. The Nova Santa Rita (RS) distribution centre, which has been operating the logistics program since 2024, will now also serve sellers in the states of Santa Catarina and Paraná from 11 August. This expansion means partner sellers in those states can send their products directly to the facility and have their entire logistics handled by the company, from storage to after-sales, ensuring even greater convenience and speed of delivery throughout the country.
This expansion represents a significant advancement in Amazon's logistics strategy. Since 2010, Amazon has already invested over R$1,888 million in Rio Grande do Sul, as well as a further R$90 million in Paraná and R$13 million in Santa Catarina. With the expanded program, Amazon allows these sellers to operate under their own local CNPJ numbers.
With the removal of the requirement to establish a branch in São Paulo, the salesperson's experience joining the program becomes simpler. For consumers nationwide, this expansion means access to a wider variety of products with free shipping, faster deliveries thanks to regionalized distribution, and an improved shopping experience.
This expansion is the result of negotiations with the Rio Grande do Sul state government and was accelerated by the efforts of Amazon Brasil's local technology team, who streamlined the technological efforts for the launch to 95%. The programme will be available by the end of 2025 in the Distribution Centres of Minas Gerais, the Federal District, Rio de Janeiro, Pernambuco, and Ceará.
How to participate
To participate in Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon), sellers must have an active CNPJ in eligible states and comply with the corresponding tax regime (Regular Regime or Simples Nacional, depending on the state), as well as an active Amazon account. The process is simplified into three steps: 1) Listing products on FBA and configuring the Amazon invoicing system; 2) Creating a shipment and preparing the products; 3) Waiting for Amazon to collect the products or shipping them yourself.
