Medication management: Portuguese startup expects to reach over 100 thousand users in Brazil

A Terah, Portuguese startup founded in October 2022, is preparing for a significant expansion in Brazil with the support of FHE Ventures, que promete acelerar o crecimiento de la empresa en el país. The innovative company developed a unique worldwide solution for comprehensive medication management and consumer guidance through interactive and digitized leaflets, raising the question about the existence of paper leaflets, que aumentam o tamanho e peso da caixa e, therefore, the cost of the medication, além de ser um poluente após o descarte da caixa e do medicamento. Terah is the first comprehensive global solution for 360° medication management. The application allows users to receive detailed information, schedule reminders and receive alerts. The initial objectives include optimizing the product, increase its robustness and improve performance, assim como concretizar o plano de expansão. The strategy involves implementing a pilot project in a designated region, with the aim of eventually covering the entire Brazilian territory, João Mota, CEO da Terah. 

The company is already working to implement its first round of investments. In the advanced stage of acceleration in Brazil, the company believes it is the ideal time to start raising funds. So far, more than 150 thousand euros have already been invested, the equivalent of R$ 800 thousand, no desenvolvimento da solução. By the end of 2024, Terah expects to be close to 100,000 users and have around 5,000 associated pharmacies. Currently, a startup has already established partnerships with around 450 pharmacies in Portugal. 

Terah stands out for offering end-to-end medication management, with features that go far beyond a simple alarm. The application allows the reading of medication codes, providing detailed information, identifying drug interactions and therapeutic duplications, besides making it easier to order medicines directly from pharmacies, João Mota has finished.
