The evolution of generative artificial intelligence is one of the most significant recent technological advancements, impacting numerous sectors. "Generative AI and the cloud are poised to transform the technological landscape in Brazil, contributing to economic growth and driving digital transformation in the country. The expectation is that GenAI will become indispensable in virtually every sector, offering sophisticated automation that promises to revolutionise all aspects of human-machine interaction, with capabilities previously unimaginable," explains Adriana Frantz, distinguished analyst and author of the new edition of the ISG Provider Lens™ AWS Ecosystem Partners 2024 study, produced and distributed by TGT ISG.
Among the key use cases highlighted in the study, automation of administrative tasks stands out, easing the burden on companies dealing with large volumes of data. GenAI tools are being used to classify and summarise information, aiding decision-making. Enhancing the customer experience (CX) is also a priority. The implementation of chatbots and virtual assistants, using GenAI, aims to make interactions more efficient and personalized.
In Brazil, AWS providers are aligning with market changes regarding technology adoption. According to the new study edition, almost all providers on the platform in the country have developed initiatives involving GenAI in the last 12 months, and all plan to expand their use in the future. Another point highlighted in the study is the demand for application modernisation, as the author explains. "Updating legacy systems, many still on mainframes, has been important for companies to integrate new technologies and improve operational efficiency. AWS offers solutions to facilitate this transition, such as AWS Lambda for serverless computing and Amazon RDS for managed databases," she explains.
According to the report, the approach Multicloud It has also gained traction, particularly among large corporations seeking greater scalability and flexibility to meet their needs. However, for medium-sized businesses, this approach can be challenging due to the complexity of implementation and a lower capacity for negotiation with suppliers.
The study highlights that AWS provides Brazilian suppliers with several tools to explore the potential of GenAI. Amazon Bedrock, one of the platforms used, offers access to artificial intelligence models, allowing developers to select the most suitable solution for each application. Other tools, such as SageMaker and CodeWhisperer, are also used for creating custom models and automating software development.
