Black Friday 2024: Criteo reports a 9% increase in online transactions and a 4% rise in the average spending of Brazilians

Confirming the positive forecasts for national retail sales on Black Friday 2024, Criteo, the media commerce company, registered a significant growth in the volume of transactions in Brazilian ecommerce over the past few weeks, in comparison with the performance observed in the same period of the previous year. 

According to Criteo's data, largest independent ad tech in the worldtotal sales of national e-commerce this Black Friday exceeded by 9%the volume of transactions observed in the seasonality of 2023. Alreadythe average spending of Brazilian consumers was 4% higherin this 2024 sales season compared to the same period last year

The results of this year's Black Friday indicate a strong end-of-year sales season, with consumers showing great enthusiasm in spending, even after weeks of early offers. This increase in interest in the event, in a broader sales environment, signals valuable opportunities for brands and retailers to drive year-end growth, affirms Tiago Cardoso, Managing Director for Latam at Criteo
