The Brazilian Association of Crypto-economy (ABcripto) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM), they launch today, 11/10/2024, theCounterstrike, innovative tool aimed at the protection and education of investors. The goal is to help the public recognize potential fraud in investment offers through a series of simple and objective questions.
The Counterstrike functions as a first line of defense, assessing the risk of fraud and issuing a report with educational guidelines on the main points of attention"The Counterstrike offers a valuable starting point for each user to investigate more deeply and seek guidance from certified professionals". It is important to remember that the tool does not guarantee the safety of the investment nor does it replace more detailed research by the investor, affirms Bernardo Srur, CEO of ABcripto.

World Investor Week is coordinated by the CVM within the scope of the IOSCO Retail Investors Committee (Committee 8 – C8) and promoted in more than 100 member countries of the organization. The WIW was launched in 2017, as a pilot project, after CVM's proposal to develop a global campaign for investor protection and education.

The project is part of the cooperation agreement established between ABCripto and the CVM, which aims to expand financial education in Brazil and develop educational campaigns on new financial technologies, like blockchain, crypto-economics and decentralized finance (DeFi).
