99Food officially launches this Tuesday (29), the registration for restaurants across Brazil wishing to join 99's new food delivery platform. Restaurants from all over the country, who will be able to register on the platform from today, they will not need to pay commission and monthly fee, costs that excluded many traders from this system that brings convenience to the population and generates income for thousands of motorcyclists. When the service is launched, establishments will have immediate access to over 55 million 99 users
For the first time in Brazil, restaurants will be able to operate on a large delivery platform without paying any fee or monthly commission, accessing profit and growth opportunities — and not through a one-time promotion. All restaurants in Brazil will be able to take advantage of this model for 24 months from the moment they register, que reforça o compromisso de longo prazo da 99Food com o setor de manter sempre o melhor negócio para quem realmente faz acontecer
By eliminating embedded costs and abusive commission structures, 99Food gives restaurant owners the chance to earn more per order, at the same time, offering fairer prices for customers. The proposal will also provide access to a large portion of the 400,000 Brazilian restaurants that currently have delivery options — many of them because they cannot afford the high rates currently charged and that, with the arrival of 99Food, will finally be able to harness the growth potential that a digital platform like 99 can offer
Restaurants no longer need to give up a third of what they earn just to cover costs, says Bruno Rossini, senior director of 99. This is a revolution. We are returning control of the market to those who cook and those who deliver. In an average order, restaurants can earn about 20% more than they do now — um salto real que transforma a entrega em fonte de lucro, and still guarantees consumers the most affordable food options on the market.”
With 99Food, restaurants will no longer need to raise prices to cover fees and commissions — they will be able to charge the same amount at the counter, attracting more customers with fair and affordable meals
Model of 99Food returns control to restaurants
From today, any restaurant in Brazil can register on 99Food and choose between two simple models
- Serviço completo99Food takes care of the entire process, with fixed delivery fee based on distance
- Marketplacethe restaurant receives orders via 99Food, but make the delivery yourself, maintaining full autonomy
This proposal is not a promotion. It is a new standard. E mostra o nosso compromisso de sempre oferecer o melhor negócio para os restaurantes brasileiros, affirms Rossini. We want to grow together: restaurants, deliverers and customers, everyone benefiting from a fairer and smarter model. Our ambition is to transform delivery and shape a new future for the food sector in the country
With an investment of over R$1 billion solely in 2025, and presence on mobile phones of 1 in every 4 Brazilians, a 99 is the best positioned company to challenge the market and its main players — uniting mobility, means of payment and now food delivery in a complete convenience ecosystem
The registration for restaurants is now open across Brazil atmerchant.99app.with. The establishments will receive a notice 30 days in advance of the start of operation in their region. The launch for consumers is scheduled for mid-2025
