The IAB Brazil, association that aims to promote the sustainable growth of digital advertising, will bring to the country one of the most important events in the marketing world: the Global CMO Growth Council, where the most relevant executives in the field gather to discuss trends, challenges and opportunities. The Global CMO Growth Council was created six years ago by Cannes Lions – largest advertising and communication event on the planet – in partnership with ANA, association that brings together the largest advertisers in the United States.
The first meeting in Brazil will take place in São Paulo, on September 3, during AdTech & Branding, event organized by IAB Brazil. The first edition of the Global CMO Growth Council will bring together around 40 renowned marketing professionals in Brazil. The aim of the local initiative is to extend the community created globally in 2018 and ensure that CMOs have a platform for exchanging ideas to set a positive agenda for the growth of the sector
To reinforce the importance of the first Brazilian edition, the global leader of the Cannes Lions festival, Fiorenza Plinio, and Nick Primola, executive vice president of ANA, they will come to São Paulo for the event. Since 2018, about 50 executives from large groups participate in global discussions. The debates included CMOs from giants like P&G, Unilever, AB InBev, Burger King, AT&T, Mars and Mastercard. The goal of IAB Brazil is to bring this conversation to the Brazilian universe. The participants of the local edition of the CMO Growth Council will become part of the global discussions of the group, that go beyond the agenda of advertising and marketing, including also issues such as the use of technology and the impacts of the activity on the environment
