Runway to Web Summit brings together executives from Visa, iFood, Itaú, and Paypal to discuss the impact of AI and personalization on business.

Artificial intelligence and personalization are emerging as central axes in business transformation and should guide strategic debates in the coming year. These themes were the highlights of Runway to Web Summit, an event organized by Web Summit in partnership with weme , the digital product studios of BRQ Digital Solutions , a one-stop-shop partner in the business evolution journey and a leader in generative AI. The event, held at STATE in São Paulo, serves as a preparatory space for discussions that will take place at Web Summit Rio 2026, scheduled for June.

The four panels of the program, focused on the areas of Daily Banking, AI, Energy, and Marketing, shared the common theme of the impact of generative technology on customer experience. In total, the event brought together more than 180 executives from large companies.

According to the speakers, who were representatives from companies such as Visa, Itaú, iFood, Pipefy, PayPal, Copa Energia, Atvos, and Pinterest, the ability to personalize services and interactions should become a cross-sector competitive differentiator, regardless of the industry.

The discussion went beyond the mere question of whether or not to adopt AI, but to what extent and in what areas it will be most powerful. The prevailing analysis was that not using the technology tends to generate substitution in the market, since competitors who exploit it effectively should take the lead.
