Four out of ten people order food via delivery in Brazil, Ticket reveals

A survey of Ticket, brand of Benefits and Engagement of Edenred Brazil, conducted with almost ten thousand people, revealed that 40% of Brazilians have the habit of ordering food via delivery and that 11% make one to two orders per week. When analyzed only consumers of generation Z, aged between 15 and 28 years, this percentage rises to 51%.

Another brand survey that reveals preferences for different types of cuisine shows that “fast food it is the most requested category in delivery, followed by “brazilian food”, “lanchonete”, “pizzaria” and “carnes”, Ticket Restaurante (and Ticket Flex and Ticket Super Flex restaurant balances), the average expenditure on delivery. From January to May this year, the largest of these was recorded in Japanese food purchases, R$ 84.80, while the lowest was in orders for miner dishes, R$ 49.59 on average per meal.

Online market

The survey also showed that, unlike orders for ready-made food, online shopping in supermarkets is still restricted to a small portion of the people who use the brand. Among respondents, 15% said they have a habit of resorting to the service and 3% make orders every month. Among Generation Z consumers, the number of people who are used to making online purchases at these establishments rises to 17%.
