Bistek Supermercados launches new e-commerce focused on customer experience

Bistek Supermercados, one of the main retail chains in southern Brazil, announced the launch of its new e-commerce platform, with an investment of R$ 500 thousand. The new website, which came into operation at the end of May, already has significant results, with an increase of 17% in both the value of the average ticket and the number of purchases.

A major milestone was reached on June 3, when the platform recorded the highest volume of sales completed in a single day, representing a growth of 56% compared to the best performance of the previous platform.In addition, there was an increase of approximately 20% in the number of items per order.

The new platform, developed in partnership with VTEX, specialized in digital commerce solutions, brings a series of innovations focused on improving the user experience. Among the main novelties is Smart Checkout, which allows customers to complete their purchases without the need for login or extensive registration steps.

Another highlighted feature is the creation of custom lists according to the consumption occasion. Customers can now start their purchases by replicating previous orders or reviewing and modifying specific items from past purchases, making the process more agile and convenient.

Wagner Ghislandi, marketing director of the network, emphasizes the importance of these improvements: “It is fundamental to understand that food retail e-commerce has its own characteristics, very different from other segments.Our customers deal with a large number of items per purchase, each representing an individual decision.Therefore, our priority is to simplify and improve the customer experience at each stage.”

The investment of Bistek Supermercados in its digital platform reflects the growing trend of digitalization in the retail sector, especially in the food segment. With these improvements, the company seeks not only to increase its online sales, but also to strengthen its relationship with customers, offering a more personalized and efficient shopping experience. The positive response of consumers, evidenced by the initial numbers, suggests that Bistek is on the right path to consolidate itself as an important player in e-commerce supermarkets, a sector that has been gaining more and more relevance in the Brazilian retail scenario.
