Consolidated market
Founded in 1993 in Raleigh, United States, Red Hat arrived in Latin America in 2006, with offices in Brazil and Argentina. Since then, it has been gaining the trust of hundreds of public and private sector customers throughout the region. With several successful cases on different fronts, the company has positioned itself as the main driver of the open hybrid cloud, with a robust portfolio of solutions that have helped companies in the region to advance their digital transformation. Recent initiatives such as the cases of PIX, Amazon Bank and the database of Prodesp, a technology agency of the State of Sao Paulo, corroborate the good practices of the company.
A large part of this trajectory in Brazil was led by Gilson Magalhaes, who along with other executives and experts leveraged the results of the region.“We have experienced challenges, but we have gained great opportunities to boost open source in the country. Our conviction in an open and collaborative work model has allowed us to lead innovation in IT over the years, consolidating the name of Red Hat in the country as an important partner of public and private initiatives”, said Magalhaes.
For the executive, at the head of operations for Latin America since October, the Brazilian office is in excellent hands.“Sandra is an exemplary professional, with extensive knowledge in the universe of open source and business IT, as well as a broad relationship with partners and customers from all over the sector. I am sure that we are starting to write a new and important chapter of Red Hat in Brazil, with results that will undoubtedly continue to place the country as one of the world protagonists of the company”, he concludes.
