A groundbreaking survey by ABIMO (Brazilian Association of the Medical Devices Industry), supported by CFO (Federal Dental Council) and conducted by Italian consulting firm Key-Stone, highlighted the prominence of e-commerce among dentists in Brazil. The survey revealed that 70% of professionals regularly use online platforms to purchase dental products, a figure exceeding that observed in European countries.
Furthermore, 21% of Brazilian dentists occasionally use e-commerce, making the digital channel responsible for 66% of dental product purchases – significantly ahead of the 34% from traditional channels.
This preference reflects not only the practicality and variety offered by online platforms, but also a growing digitalization movement in the Brazilian dental sector, establishing e-commerce as an indispensable tool in the daily work of dental offices.
