Pompéia inaugurated the Automatize Project, which automates its Distribution Center located in Camaquã (RS), making the supply of its 90 stores distributed throughout Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina more assertive.
Launched in 2023, the automation includes the implementation of processes that increased productivity in picking by 54%, representing 177 product picks per employee per hour. Another impact of automation was the cost reduction resulting from the change in the purchasing method, updated to the SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) model. This change enabled a 30% increase in picks for shipment to stores. The goal is to ship orders received by the distribution center within four hours.
For Grupo Lins Ferrão's CEO, Carmen Ferrão, the project delivers more than improved logistics. "We've incorporated our entire DNA of employee engagement, providing them with a differentiated space, connecting us to the purpose of proudly clothing the world," she states.
With the completion of the first phase of the Automatize Project, Pompéia's Distribution Center enters a new phase focused on replenishments. These will be carried out daily and with individual products, enabling a more accurate inventory within the Distribution Center.
First CD with artwork
In addition to the launch of the new automation system, which will triple productivity in less time, reaffirming our commitment to innovation, efficiency, and satisfaction, The new CD's main distinguishing feature is the artwork by renowned artist Jotape, which enhances the environment with a 21m² mural. Titled "Looking to the Future," the work portrays the diversity, breadth, and visionary spirit of the Lins Ferrão Group, which encompasses Pompéia and Gang.
"The mural represents who we are: the freedom of youth through Gang and tradition and progress through Pompéia!" highlighted Carmen Ferrão, CEO of Grupo Lins Ferrão.
