ABcrypto launches certification to qualify professionals and strengthen the virtual asset market

The Brazilian Cryptoeconomics Association (ABcrypto) announces the launch of the Virtual Assets Specialist Certification (CEAV), a pioneering program created to train and accredit professionals able to work in companies providing virtual asset services in Brazil. The program is aimed at areas such as technology, compliance, advocacy, auditing and for students interested in the segment, becoming a strategic differential in a market in full expansion. 

“O CEAV ABcrypto represents a milestone in the qualification of professionals in the crypto sector. By promoting quality education, we seek to prepare experts for technological and regulatory challenges, consolidate market confidence and drive the adoption of good practices”, says Bernardo Srur, CEO of ABcripto. 

Focusing on training in fundamental concepts of cryptoeconomics, CEAV structures its examination into three main modules: fundamentals, business and regulation. The content covers distributed ledger technologies, smart contracts, tokenization, national and international regulations, risk analysis and exemplary compliance practices. The exam consists of 30 multiple-choice questions, with four alternatives per question and only one correct one.  

To be approved, the candidate must achieve a minimum of 70% of hits (21 questions). Those who achieve 50% (15 questions) are entitled to a second attempt without additional costs. The modules of the test include fundamentals such as blockchain and distributed ledger technologies, differentiation between cryptocurrencies and tokens, operation of networks such as Bitcoin and Ethereum; businesses involving Web3 services, business models in exchanges, custody and DeFi (decentralized finance); and regulation, addressing Brazilian norms, combating money laundering and tax issues.

Applicants must adhere to the ABcrypto Code of Ethics and Self-regulation and commit to the continuing education program. Applications are open and after payment of the registration fee, it is possible to take the test in a controlled virtual environment. The tests will be applied from January 20, 2025. The preliminary result is disclosed immediately after the completion of the exam. Those approved become part of a public list of certified professionals, available on the official website of the program.
