CloudWalk, owner of InfinitePay, raises R$2.7 billion in its largest FIDC ever.

CloudWalk, owner of the financial services platform InfinitePay, has just raised its largest FIDC to date. At R$ 2.7 billion, the fund will be used to finance the prepayment of credit card receivables. The goal of the fundraising is to support the rapid growth of InfinitePay's client base, which increased from 1 million in 2023 to 3 million by the end of 2024.

"Over the past year, CloudWalk tripled its customer base, driven by the launch of a series of products and services aimed at micro, small, and medium-sized businesses," says Pablo de Mello, COO of CloudWalk.

Highlights include Tap to Pay technology, which turns smartphones into payment terminals, and the InfiniteNitro tool, allowing customers to receive sales proceeds from card transactions within seconds. InfinitePay also offers a digital account with interest, a card, loans, tools for creating online stores, and charge management within its ecosystem.

Pablo remembers that in 2019, when InfinitePay launched, it introduced a new model for receivables advance, with payment the day after purchase and with better fees than the market standard. "In five years, we've evolved into a robust financial services platform that allows our clients to access resources faster, directly impacting their cash flow and consequently helping these micro and small businesses thrive."

High demand

The operation, one of the largest of the year in the financial market, saw demand exceeding supply, with 16 purchasing institutions for the shares, including Assets and Family Offices, distributed across 85 investment vehicles. Itaú BBA was the lead coordinator of the FIDC, coordinating the operation jointly with Bradesco BBI, BTG, BB-Banco de Investimentos, and Banco Safra. The new fund has a three-year term and was structured in conjunction with BTG Asset, which also acts as the FIDC manager.

In total, the fintech has raised nine FIDC funds since 2021, with shares totaling R$7.7 billion. In May of this year, it had already raised R$1.6 billion in four funds, which also saw significantly greater demand than supply.

"Once again, we are very pleased to have assembled a group of top-tier financial institutions. In a challenging and competitive environment, we experienced another oversubscribed offering. This is a strong signal that the market recognizes the financial and operational strength of CloudWalk," says the COO.

CloudWalk today boasts US$1,500 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR). Since 2019, the fintech has operated InfinitePay in Brazil, covering 1,001 of Brazilian municipalities. In the United States, it launched the Jim.com payment app in 2024, offering micro and small US businesses the ability to receive instant payments on their smartphones.
