The 2024 Caio Award – the leading award in the events industry – recognized the 21st anniversary party of... KaBuM! As a featured case in the Social Event of the Year category (no first place). The Jacaré de Prata awards ceremony took place this week in São Paulo, at the 25th anniversary edition of the prize, which recognizes the work of companies and professionals in the sector since 1999.
To celebrate the date in grand style and enhance the brand's traditional anniversary campaign, called Mega May, the largest e-commerce platform for technology and games in Latin America hosted a large party on May 23rd. The event took place at the historic Central 1926 building in Bela Vista, attracting major figures from the scene, including influencers, press, and partners. KaBuM!'s 21st-anniversary party energized São Paulo's capital with musical performances, experiences, games, and technological activations.
KaBuM! is on a mission to bring more fun and technology into people's lives. And their brand birthday party was no exception. The event's challenge was to transport guests to this setting, with creative activations, including the use of artificial intelligence. In environments with the brand's visual identity, composed of an urban and tech-focused climate, activities included personalized mousepad customization in an immersive space, and free gamer-themed flash tattoos – developed by a tattoo artist. Lucas Marinos - creating virtual graffiti and taking photos, plus an immersive room where users connected with an AI tool to create scenarios and transform themselves into characters.
For the party, KaBuM! also developed an action and strategy game combining adrenaline and technology. Simulating Counter Strike matches in real life with laser tag, guests competed in teams or individually, using infrared light beams.
