The ranking Loved Companies 2024, conducted by the employer branding hub ILoveMyJob, points out the companies most admired by Brazilian professionals and the strategies that make these organizations a reference in people management. Based on the opinion of 865 professionals from different regions of the country, the survey highlights how companies have invested in more innovative, attractive and aligned with the expectations of talent work environments.

Today, companies need to go beyond competitive salaries. Listening to talent actively and routinely is critical to creating environments that inspire and meet the growing expectations of professionals. This practice not only continuously improves the employer brand, but also allows anticipating behaviors and building lasting relationships with” employees'', said Angelica Madalosso, CEO of ILoveMyJob.

At the top of the list are Natura, Vale and Grupo Boticario, which, despite operating in different sectors, share some common points: robust investments in organizational culture, innovation and strong connection with employee values.

What makes a company admired by professionals?

According to the survey, the factors most valued by employees when evaluating a work environment include:

  • Positive organizational climate (18%)
  • Transparency and efficient communication (16%)
  • Autonomy (12%)
  • Flexibility (11%)
  • Valuation and recognition (10%)
  • Respectful and inclusive environment (9%).
  • Relevant purpose (7%) 
  • Growth opportunities (5%)
  • Other factors such as benefits, learning and development, good remuneration and others (12%)

In addition, the study reveals that the main reasons that lead professionals to leave their companies are linked to structural and management issues.Inadequate remuneration (45%), lack of career plan (30%) and work overload (15%) are the most cited factors.

What are Natura, Vale and Grupo Boticario doing differently?

The detailed analysis of the ranking reveals that the companies most admired by talent invest in practices that go beyond traditional compensation and benefits.See some of the initiatives that make these companies reference:

  • Natura: Bet on an organizational culture that balances innovation, well-being and social impact.In addition, its careers page is outside the institutional site, which brings accessibility features and invites professionals to evaluate the company on Glassdoor, which currently has the overall score of 4.1% on the platform.
  • Valley: It undergoes a cultural transformation and has prioritized diversity, inclusion and sustainability. Among the highlights pointed out by the research, is the strengthening of the employer brand, with actions aimed at professional development and balance between personal and work life. Its LinkedIn has more than 4 million followers and highlights innovation and ESG guidelines.
  • Boticario Group: It stands out for investing in differentiated corporate benefits, such as Pet Aid. In addition, it reinforces its employer brand identity with a strong strategic positioning in social networks and a career page structured within the institutional site. The group also invests heavily in employer branding on Glassdoor and in evaluation platforms.

Main trends observed in the ranking

In addition to the initiatives of the best-positioned companies, the study pointed out some trends:

  • B2C focus: B2C companies, such as Natura and Grupo Boticario, have strengthened their presence through a strong investment in an employer brand.
  • Differentiated corporate benefits: Companies offer more and more advantages beyond the traditional package. The Boticario Group, for example, stood out for the Pet Aid, an innovation in the market. The study analyzes that, possibly, the choice of benefits came from the active listening of the collaborating people and, thus, reflects on the well-being of all of them.
  • Digital transformation: Investments in technology and digitalization drive modern and dynamic work environments. Companies like Itau stand out in this regard.
  • Innovation: All companies in the ranking prioritize innovation, regardless of the sector. Natura, Vale and Grupo Boticario, for example, constantly seek new solutions and ways to improve processes.
  • ESG: Most companies prioritize ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) issues, with good corporate practices, sustainability and social responsibility and good, which bring important impact to attract and retain talent. 
  • Flexibility: Hybrid and remote models follow as a preference among talents and contributes to a healthy balance between professional and personal life of the collaborating person.
  • Sector: The 2024 ranking showed a dominance of energy sector companies, driven by interest in ESG and sustainability.
