Microsoft offers new Azure services in Brazilian regions with a focus on efficiency, economy and security

Microsoft has made important updates to Azure regions in Brazil to support its customers in their digital transformation journeys. The integration of Oracle Database@Azure in Brazil South will allow companies to easily migrate their workloads to the public cloud safely and efficiently. Another update is tied to NetApp Files, high-performance storage services, which has received significant improvements to help IT managers achieve greater efficiency, saving resources and keeping their operations protected.

The new features include virtual network management configurations that tend to help companies dealing with intense workloads, such as data analysis and artificial intelligence (AI). Overall, the goal is to help organizations of all sizes to bring better solutions to the needs of their customers while improving the efficiency of their operations.

Oracle Database@Azure Brazil South customers can now use Oracle Exadata Database Service and Oracle Autonomous Database Service in Azure datacenters, removing the obstacles to migrating critical workloads to the public cloud and facilitating innovation.

With Oracle Database@Azure, customers will be able to use the advanced suite of application services, development tools, and frameworks available in Microsoft Azure to modernize their workloads. This included the data insights capabilities present in the Microsoft cloud platform and Azure AI services, which are supporting businesses of all sizes in their digital transformation processes from artificial intelligence. this link

New, more cost-effective options in Azure NetApp Files: Azure NetApp Files customers can now use a sporadic access store (cool access) in practice, this enables cost savings by moving the less used data to a more cost-effective Azure layer, leaving only the priority blocks in the main storage. In addition, it is possible to adopt a flexible configuration for this feature, being able to optimize the “frieza” of the data that is poorly accessed based on the company's usage pattern this link.

Azure NetApp Files cross-zone replication: This new feature available in the regions of Brazil allows you to replicate data between different availability zones in the same region more efficiently and economically. Using SnapMirror technology, the solution presents efficiency gains and cost savings by sending only the necessary changes, improving the protection against failures. Thus, even if there is an unexpected event, it is possible to ensure that your data is safe and accessible in another zone, without additional complications this link.

Protected backup for Azure Blob Storage: Blob storage is a service that allows you to store large amounts of unstructured data in Azure. With this update, you can back up your vaults: a native, managed solution that provides robust protection against data loss, keeping external copies secure and protected from accidental deletion, corruption and malicious attacks. The main differentiator of this solution is to enable fast data recovery and business continuity in compliance with security requirements, which is essential for protecting critical information and the operational resilience of enterprises this page.

Connectivity 5mesh’ and direct in Azure Virtual Network Manager: All Azure public regions, including those in Brazil, can now access direct and mesh connectivity options in the Azure Virtual Network manager. The new feature allows virtual networks to communicate directly, reducing latency and management overhead. This tends to be especially valuable for Data & AI projects, allowing workloads to talk to each other without the need to go through a central firewall. In addition, it is possible to monitor and filter traffic between these networks using network security groups (NSGs, in English) and security administration rules. this link.
