Brazil is home to countless entrepreneurs with promising ideas and innovative solutions. However, many of these projects, with the potential to transform entire sectors, end up failing; without the necessary investment, they lose the chance to achieve their true impact, which can affect market and economic growth.
Thinking about streamlining access to resources for real-world projects, Finme was born, founded in 2023 by Felipe Vergasta. It proposes an accessible and sustainable alternative, financing projects through the model of crowdfundingor collective investment, creating opportunities with high profit potential. The company began to position itself in the market as a modern and efficient solution to connect investors and businesses in an agile, strategic, and secure manner.
"During my experiences in the financial market, I always noticed that many operations and projects were rejected because they didn't meet all the requirements for financing. This caught my attention because they were good projects, with great innovation potential, for various sectors, and that would certainly attract investors. Something was missing to connect these two parties. Finme was born when I perceived this pain point, and the idea arose of working with companies that had been rejected by the market," says Vergasta.
The crowdfunding Investment is regulated and overseen by the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM). The model is similar to social crowdfunding, the famous online "vaquinhas" (online crowdfunding campaigns), with the difference of offering a financial return. In this model, people collectively invest in a project and, in return, receive contracts or securities granting them credit rights or participation in the invested business.
Finme coordinates public (for the general market) and private (for selected investors only) offerings to finance projects with real assets, boasting lower operating costs compared to traditional assets while offering potentially higher returns. One of the company's first projects, focused on agribusiness, exemplifies the potential of crowdfunding: it raised R$1,640,000 in a private offering, demonstrating how the model can leverage strategic sectors with real assets.
“Our first private offering was a real trial by fire, and its success proved the demand for what we do. Because it was a private offering, it could only be directed to clients with whom we already had a relationship. Even so, we managed to bring together a group of investors who approved of the business model and are now reaping monthly dividends,” adds Vergasta.
Focusing on strategic sectors such as real estate, agribusiness, and renewable energy, Finme is becoming a market leader. For entrepreneurs seeking capital, the company conducts a thorough analysis of their financial structure and creates personalized marketing and dissemination strategies. crowdfunding, ensuring an effective approach to obtaining the necessary credit.
"Entrepreneurs seeking funding for their projects usually pursue bank loans. Often, they're unaware of other avenues, such as crowdfunding, and end up opting for more expensive options. The idea is to show both those seeking investment and those wanting to participate in new businesses that there are profitable and secure alternatives," he concludes.
