The evolution of generative artificial intelligence is one of the main recent technological advances, with impact in several sectors. “A generative artificial intelligence and the cloud are ready to transform the technological scenario in Brazil, contributing to economic growth and driving digital transformation in the country. The expectation is that GenAI will become indispensable in virtually all sectors, offering sophisticated automation that promises to transform all aspects of human-machine interaction, with previously unimaginable CAPACities”, distinguished analyst and author of the new edition of the ISG Provider Lens AWS Ecosystem Partners 2024 study, produced and distributed by ISG.
Among the main use cases pointed out in the study, the automation of administrative tasks stands out, relieving companies that deal with large volumes of data. GenAI tools are being used to classify and summarize information, helping in decision making. The improvement of the customer experience (CX) is also a priority. The implementation of chatbots and virtual assistants, with the use of GenAI, aims to make interactions more efficient and personalized.
In Brazil, AWS suppliers are aligned with market changes on the adoption of the technology. According to the new edition of the study, almost all platform providers in the country have developed initiatives involving GenAI in the last 12 months, and all plan to expand their use in the future. Another point highlighted in the study is the demand for application modernization, as the author explains.“ updating legacy systems, many still in mainframes, has been important for companies to integrate new technologies and improve operational efficiency. AWS offers solutions to facilitate this transition, such as AWSda, for serverless computing, and Amazon RDS, for managed databases, explains.
According to the report, the approach multicloud it has also gained strength, especially among large corporations, who seek greater scalability and flexibility to meet their needs. However, for medium-sized companies, this approach can be challenging due to the complexity of implementation and the lower ability to negotiate with suppliers.
The study points out that AWS offers Brazilian suppliers several tools to explore the potential of GenAI. Amazon Bedrock, one of the platforms used, offers access to artificial intelligence models, allowing developers to select the most appropriate solution for each application. Other tools, such as SageMaker and CodeWhisperer, are also used for the creation of customized models and automation in software development.
