Mercado mundial de serviços de TI movimentará US$ 600 bilhões em 2025

As companies face increasing cyber threats and stringent compliance requirements, it is increasingly imperative for the market to support IT service providers (MSPs) that are able to ensure the managed security of their data and operations. This is the bet of the vast majority of managers of this type of company around the world, according to the study The MSP Horizons Report 2025.

The expectation of increasing the gains in cyber protection services is shared by Brazilian companies such as ADDEE, the largest national reference in providing management, monitoring, data protection and security solutions for IT service providers. According to the CEO and founder of the company, Rodrigo Gazola, this year ADDEE will direct strategic efforts to further enhance its security performance, in partnership with N-able itself, of which it is the exclusive representative in Brazil.

“Solutions such as EDR, MDR, Backup and DNS Filtering will be in the focus of communication and campaigns, accompanied by a reinforcement in technical support and training of” providers, he said.

SaaS backup advances and requires adaptation

One of the areas of growth most highlighted by respondents in the MSP Horizons Report it was called Backup SaaS, referring, for example, to applications such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or Salesforce. Among the executives interviewed, 53% said they will add this practice in the future.

Based on the answers, the survey leaders assess that the future of backup and disaster recovery is being shaped by a major drive in this industry. They state that RMM (Monitoring and Remote Management) providers are acquiring or building backup technologies, just as enterprise vendors are acquiring players focused on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and vice versa. In this scenario the perception is that backup also offers MSPs the opportunity to increase their total addressable markets due to its strong potential resale movement.

Gazola explains that in Brazil, RMM was the catalyst for operational change for managed IT service providers, enabling remote monitoring and management of environments, which transformed the provision of IT services.

“These solutions remain strategic for ADDEE, as they represent the basis for MSPs to deliver added value to customers. 15 years ago, these solutions were scarce or expensive, within the national market and we were able to bring a transformation in the way companies saw their operations and services. Even today we continue to do this work”, he says.

For the realization of the MSP Horizons Report450 MSPs from all continents were asked to provide feedback through an online questionnaire distributed by N-Able and Canalys, through its Candefero website. Contacts were made between October and November 2024 and Canalys also interviewed 16 companies in the sector during the process, which provided qualitative feedback on the main topics and trends in the IT market.
