NEO Estech, a Brazilian startup of data intelligence applied to equipment management, announces the launch of NEO Lume, its new AI dedicated to monitoring and technical support. From October 9, customers will be able to talk directly to artificial intelligence via web, app or WhatsApp, to receive information and solve issues related to the operation of their equipment in store.
The startup operates mainly in the supermarket and wholesale sector, whose largest operating expenses are electricity (1.5% to 3.5% on gross revenues), maintenance (0.8% to 1.5%) and losses (1.8% to 2.5%), according to studies by the Brazilian Association of Supermarkets (ABRAS), NielsenIQ, energy consultancies and sector network audits.
With the company's monitoring solutions, all these costs can be reduced. Now, with NEO Lume, retailers have access to their equipment information 24 hours a day, seven days a week. AI monitors several areas of interest, such as refrigeration, air conditioning, energy and water consumption, generators and fire-fighting systems.
Communication between user and AI is facilitated by the use of a natural language model “What machines have open calls for more than three days?” or “What equipment spends more time with the door open?”, In addition to reporting bugs or requesting changes to scales and system settings directly through the conversation. NEO Lume understands the context, identifies the source installation and makes data interpretation more accessible.
Sami Diba, CEO of NEO Estech, states that the training of artificial intelligence was carried out from five years of data collection with its own technology, including from the performance in large networks such as Carrefour, Atacadao, Savegnago, Tauste and Trust. “We know that retail operates in detail and often it is precisely these details that go unnoticed. It was based on them that we created Lume. It learns from day to day and returns practical intelligence to the customer. It anticipates problems, avoids waste and contributes directly to the financial health of the business”, explains.
Artificial intelligence will serve in five languages: portuguese, english, spanish, french and italian. The idea is to strengthen the internationalization strategy of NEO Estech, which is already present in six countries.
Fabio Pastro Gomes, marketing and branding coordinator of the startup, comments that the creation of AI was a necessary step for the expansion of operations. “O Lume is essential not only for the gain in efficiency, but because scaling quality technical service, with this scope, would be impossible only with people. We keep our team of experts always available, but for many doubts and more repetitive actions, it is now possible to solve directly by the mobile”, he concludes.
