According to a Bloomberg survey, the ESG sector is expected to generate US$1,400,000 billion by 2025. Implementing practices ESG have been growing consistently in the projects and operations of Bermo Valves and Industrial Equipment, which is part of the German group ARI-Armaturen. Both in internal management and in the solutions offered to customers, the company adopts strategies that integrate environmental, social, and governance actions.
According to research conducted by the innovation consultancy TEC Institute, in partnership with MIT Tech Review Brasil, 75% of Brazilian companies lack ESG certifications. This situation places Bermo in a leading position in the market.
One of the company's pillars of activity is energy efficiency. According to Bruno Abreu, Sales and Marketing Director at Bermo – ARI Armaturen, the company develops valve systems and equipment that reduce energy consumption, helping customers cut operating costs and reduce their carbon footprint. "Our material selection also follows this line, prioritizing components with a lower environmental impact at all stages of the product cycle, from production to disposal. Furthermore, we invest regularly in research and innovation to ensure that our technologies meet rigorous environmental standards," he explains.
Bermo's internal policies comply with ESG
Internally, Bermo implements initiatives such as material recycling, the use of renewable energy, and practices to reduce carbon emissions, seeking operational efficiency and reducing environmental impacts.
Abreu emphasizes that in the social sphere, the company promotes fair working conditions and invests in the development of its employees. "Furthermore, we participate in community-focused initiatives, reinforcing our commitment to social responsibility. Regarding savings, last year, through ESG practices, we saved more than 100,000 gigajoules of energy; more than 7,000 tons of CO² were reduced; more than 97,000 m² of water; and R$1,400,000 saved," he reveals.
ESG practices are part of customer support
ESG practices also extend to Bermo's clients. The company offers specialized consulting services to guide other organizations in adopting sustainable practices, helping them adapt to growing market demands. "We strive to maintain a constant dialogue with our stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and communities, which allows us to integrate their expectations into our ESG strategies, strengthening partnerships," notes Abreu.
