Investment crowdfunding: how Finme connects investors and companies through crowdfunding

Brazil is home to numerous entrepreneurs with promising ideas and innovative solutions. However, many of these projects, with the potential to transform entire sectors, end up getting in the way; without the necessary investment, they lose the chance to achieve their true impact, which can affect the growth of the market and the economy.

Thinking of reducing bureaucracy and access to resources for real projects, Finme was born, founded in 2023 by Felipe Vergasta. It proposes an affordable and sustainable alternative, financing projects through the model of crowdfunding, or collective investment, and creating opportunities of great profitable potential. The company has come to position itself in the market as a modern and efficient solution to connect investors and businesses in an agile, strategic and safe way.

“During my experiences in the financial market, I always realized that many operations and projects were refused because they did not meet all the requirements to receive financing. This caught my attention, because they were good projects, with great potential for innovation, for sectors and that would certainly attract investors. Something was missing that connected these two parties. Finme was born when I realized this pain, and the idea of working with companies that had been refused by the” market, says Vergasta.

The crowdfunding investment is regulated and supervised by the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM). The model resembles social crowdfunding, the famous“vaquinhas” online, with the differential of bringing financial return. In it, people collectively invest in a project and, in return, receive contracts or bonds that confer credit rights or participation in the business invested.

Finme coordinates public (for the general market) and private (only for selected investors) offerings to finance projects with real assets, with lower operating costs compared to traditional assets, while offering potentially higher yields. One of the company's first projects, focused on agribusiness, exemplifies the potential of crowdfunding: it has captured R$ 640 thousand in a private offering, demonstrating how the model can leverage strategic sectors with real assets.

“Our first private offer was a real test of fire, and its success proved the demand for what we do. Because it is a private model, the offer could only be directed to customers with whom we already had some relationship. Still, we managed to gather a group of investors who approved the business model and are now already reaping monthly dividends”, adds Vergasta.

Focusing on strategic sectors such as real estate, agribusiness and renewable energy, Finme has become a reference in the market. For entrepreneurs seeking to raise funds, the company makes an in-depth analysis of the financial structure and the creation of personalized marketing strategies and dissemination of the crowdfunding, ensuring an effective approach in obtaining the required credit.

“The entrepreneur who seeks financing for his project usually goes after a credit in the bank. Often, he does not even know that he can go through other paths, such as crowdfunding, and ends up opting for more expensive lines. The idea is to show, both for those seeking investment and for those who want to participate in new businesses, that there are profitable and safe alternatives”, he concludes.
