Conta Simples launches a dollar account and reduces international transaction costs by up to 50% for digital entrepreneurs

The digitalization of Brazilian businesses has opened up space for a new type of entrepreneur: digital creators, information producers, and SMEs conducting international transactions. It is in this scenario that Simple Account – Brazil's leading corporate expense management platform, which already handles R$2.4 billion per semester and serves 30,000 clients – launches the Conta Simples Global (Simple Global Account) in dollars. The product aims to help this segment make transactions in US dollars without being charged IOF (Tax on Financial Transactions) and save approximately R$501,000 in fees compared to traditional banks.

With the launch, users can centralize their finances while simultaneously making payments to other countries easily and at reduced costs. The product allows transfers of up to US$$ (compared to US$1% with competitors), the issuance of multiple free dollar cards for online advertising (Google, Meta, TikTok), and integration with digital marketplaces (Buygoods, Cartpanda, ClickBank). Furthermore, account opening takes a maximum of two days, and customers receive support in Portuguese via WhatsApp.

According to Rodrigo Tognini, CEO and co-founder of Conta Simples, the launch is expected to help the fintech double its global customer base in 12 months and generate US$1 billion in transactions by the end of 2028. "We believe we can become a benchmark for Brazilian entrepreneurs operating abroad. The global account guarantees the same competitive conditions they would have in any other developed market. It's a chance to embrace a digital economy that continues to grow," he says.

This growth outlook for digital commerce can already be seen in a number of projections. An estimate from Goldman Sachs, for example, reveals that the Creator Economy sector is expected to reach US$480 billion by 2027. Furthermore, a study by Juniper Research shows that B2B transactions are expected to reach US$224 trillion by 2030, with virtual cards accounting for US$831 billion of the global market by 2029.

How does the global account work?

Considering that 22% of its customers make recurring international purchases and 27% invest monthly in paid media, Conta Simples began mapping the possibility of launching a global account in 2024. In a survey that received 1,600 responses, approximately 45% of the company's partners stated they were interested in a complete solution in this category, as there were still no global accounts in the country that covered the nuances of the Brazilian market.

In early 2025, the fintech began developing the product. Integrated with its expense management platform and supported by the infrastructure of Airwallex, a global leader in financial technology, the launch will help with receiving funds, sending remittances in dollars, and using a global corporate card, in addition to optimizing sales and payments for organizations that operate international advertising, tools, and services.

"It's a global product, but it definitely brings local expertise and a local touch. The solution eliminates bureaucracy in operational tasks, reduces fees, and adapts to the Brazilian reality and the demands of each entrepreneur. In just a few clicks, users can manage their operations quickly, securely, and without losing profit margins," Tognini notes.

Expectations for transactions

By the end of the year, the fintech expects the global account to be decisive in its goal of reaching R$22 billion in total transaction volume, considering all payment methods offered. Of this amount, 30% to 35% are expected to come from cards, representing between R$6.6 billion and R$7.7 billion, more than double the amount transacted in 2024.

It is worth noting that this acceleration is driven mainly by the use of virtual cards by SMEs and information producers, which represented 95% of issuances in the first half of 2025 alone.

By 2026, prices are expected to increase further with the product's expansion into the euro and pound. The company plans to begin this development process within the next six months.

"We believe that the global account is the bridge that will lead us to strategic markets, allowing our brand to become synonymous with financial excellence for entrepreneurs anywhere in the world," emphasizes the CEO of Conta Simples. "Our vision is to grow alongside our clients, and their global success will become ours," he concludes.
