5 trends that will dictate the fashion of jewelry and accessories in 2025

The year 2025 begins bringing new trends that promise to stand out in the jewelry and accessories market. According to Lorena Rabelo, founder of Lure Joias, five main trends will shape the sector this year:

1 'We will see a return of the maximalist jewels. Large and flashy pieces, with lots of color, layers of precious stones and lush designs.

2– Consumers are increasingly looking for unique products, the personalized jewelry and initials will return with everything to the market. 

“Manually made jewelry with meticulous design and precious stones make them more unique, and that's what consumers are looking for, something no one else has, that brings a meaning behind” says Lorena.

3– Sustainability will continue to be one of the biggest trends in 2025with jewelry made from recycled materials and precious stones from sources. 

4– Geometric lines and clean designs, combining with bolder pieces or a futuristic aesthetic.

Recently, the fashion influencer and consultant, Donata Meireles, commented on her blog that the 2025 trend is full of boldness, irreverence and a touch of nostalgia with modern twist.

5– Vibrant Colors and Alternative Precious Stonesthe combination of these colored stones with metals of different colors will create more accessible and innovative jewelry and accessories for young audiences.

The demand for new designs and varieties is driving the growth of the market in Brazil, which according to Mordor Intelligence, is expected to grow at a CAGR of 8.31% between 2024 and 2029, reaching US$ 5.34 billion by the end of the period. Faced with so much trend and demand, new designers and specialized courses have emerged.

“Currently, many people want to have autonomy to create their own jewelry, either for personal use or to open a business, but they face difficulties in drawing or putting their ideas on paper.Faced with this, I envisioned a course with a unique technique that teaches the person to become a designer, even without notions of drawing. We use jigs that work as drawing molds on human scale and stones, facilitating the creation of designs in a simple way. With these jigs, it is enough to get around the mold and let creativity flow, resulting in unique parts”, explains the CEO of Lure.

Also according to Lorena, 2025 in general will be marked by mixes of textures and metals, all with a lot of style and individuality of the pieces as a preference of choice at the time of purchase.
