TOTVS signs contract for the acquisition of Linx

TOTVS (B3: TOTS3), the largest technology company in Brazil, has signed a contract to acquire Linx for the amount of R$ 3.05 billion. With this move, TOTVS will take another step towards building the most complete portfolio of solutions for the retail segment. The closing of the transaction is subject to approval by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) and other usual precedent conditions for this type of operation.

“With this acquisition, we will strengthen our position in retail, expanding our portfolio and strengthening our ability to meet the demands of all retail profiles.This is a major and important advance in our technology offering for this sector and, given our high level of R&D investment, will allow us to drive the development of innovations relevant to Linx customers, including in IA”, emphasizes Dennis Herszkowicz, president of TOTVS.

The acquisition of Linx will generate important complementarity, making the presence of TOTVS in retail to be equated with the current relevance already achieved in other sectors of the economy. Additionally, the strong commercial and service geographic presence of TOTVS will be an important catalyst for the expansion of Linx solutions, while the transaction will offer significant opportunities for synergies and efficiency gains.
