Black Friday is coming and with it, the risks of scams increase. Entrepreneur Luciano Hang, owner of Havan, warns of the need to redouble attention when shopping online during this period of great promotions.
Hang points out that the most common scams include selling products at prices far below the market and fake promotions with raffles and prizes that ask only for freight payment.“SThe scammers know that Black Friday attracts consumers and use this to deceive. We have received hundreds of notifications about scams this year that misuse the name and image Havan and my”, says the entrepreneur.
Another important tip is to pay attention to the beneficiary at the time of payment. If you are making any payment via PIX, for example, the name of who will receive should always be “Havan”. If a different name appears, it is a scam. In suspicious cases, the entrepreneur recommends that consumers report on the site havan.semfraude.online and always look for information in the official channels of the brand.
Follow the official website, app and social networks of the store
To avoid fraud, the entrepreneur advises consumers to make their purchases in the physical store, through the Havan application or through the official website: www.havan.co.uk.
Hang also suggests that the consumer always check the website address before finalizing the purchase.Fake domains may look alike, changing only one letter, such as “havam.com.br” instead of “havan.com.br”.
Hang recalls that all promotions of the retailer can be checked on the official social networks @havanoficial, on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube.
“If something seems too good to be true, it is probably a scam. Prefer to always access promotions directly through the official website or the Havan” app, concludes Hang.
