Automation of the Pompeii Distribution Center unites technology, efficiency and art

Pompeii inaugurated the Automatize Project, which automates its Distribution Center, located in Camaquana (RS), making more assertive the supply of the 90 stores distributed in Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.

Started in 2023, automation relies on the implementation of processes that increased the productivity in separation by 54%, representing 177 product separations per employee per hour. Another impact of automation was the reduction of costs from the change in the mode of purchase, updated to the SKU model (Stock Keeping Unit). With the change, it was possible to achieve an increase of 30% in the separations for shipping to stores. The intention is that the orders received by the CD are shipped in four hours.

For the CEO of the Lins Ferrao Group, Carmen Ferrao, the project delivers in addition to improved logistics.“We put together all the DNA of involvement with employees, who will have a differentiated space, connecting us to the purpose of dressing the world with pride”, he says.

With the completion of the first phase of the Automate Project, the CD of Pompeii enters a new moment, focused on the replacements, which will be carried out daily and with products in a unitary way, allowing a more assertive stock within the Distribution Center.

First CD with artwork

In addition to the inauguration of the new automation system, which will triple productivity in less time, reaffirming the commitment to innovation, efficiency and satisfaction, the company said the great differential of the new CD is the work of art signed by the renowned artist Jotape, which enriches the environment with a mural of 21m². Titled “Looking to the Future”, the work portrays the diversity, breadth and visionary spirit of the Lins Ferrao Group, which encompasses Pompeii and Gang.

“O mural represents who we are: the freedom of youth through the Gang and tradition and advancement through Pompeii!”, said Lins Ferrao Group CEO Carmen Ferrao.
