Magalu has just closed a sponsorship deal for the broadcasting of Campeonato Brasileiro matches on RECORD. The matches will take place throughout 2025 and represent another opportunity for the company to connect with football fans and reinforce its brand positioning nationwide, as teams from various states will have their games shown on the network throughout the year. Magalu already has a history of sponsoring sporting events, most recently the Paris Olympics and the 2022 World Cup.
"Soccer is a national passion, and we're all over Brazil with our more than 1,200 stores and our e-commerce platform. Reaching Brazilian homes through this sponsorship reinforces our brand positioning and brings us even closer to our customers," says Aline Queirantes, Marketing Director at Magalu. "We will also promote our products, create special offer dynamics during broadcasts, and use this space to highlight our product assortment, showing that everything Brazilians need is available at Magalu."
Magalu will be present in all broadcasts by RECORD on free-to-air TV, R7.com, and the Play Plus streaming service. The broadcaster will have the rights to show the Liga Forte União (LFU) matches, which groups 12 teams from 8 different states, including Athletico Paranaense, Atlético-GO, Botafogo, Corinthians, Criciúma, Cruzeiro, Cuiabá, Fluminense, Fortaleza, Internacional, Juventude, and Vasco. The games will be narrated by Cléber Machado and will feature commentary by Maurício Noriega, Dodô, and Sálvio Spínola, with reporting by Bruno Laurence, Alê Oliveira, Duda Gonçalves, Lucas Pereira, Bruno Piccinato, and Jean Brandão. Paloma Tocci will be the presenter.
There will be 38 games with the company's advertisements inserted before the game starts, during scoreboard appearances, team lineups, commercial breaks, and other moments. There will also be customized commercials and vignettes in other network programs such as Jornal da Record, Fala Brasil, Domingo Espetacular, Hoje em Dia, Cidade Alerta, Domingo Record, and Balanço Geral.
