Registration is open for the second edition of iFood Chega Junto, a program that encourages initiatives aimed at promoting improvements in the living and working conditions of delivery people and their communities. With the contribution of R$10 million 1 ten times higher than the amount invested in the previous edition 'the initiative will allocate resources to proposals aligned with six strategic pillars: road safety, food security, education, health, income strengthening and circularity.
The program seeks to support about 100 projects over the next two years, with the objective of strengthening the work of more than 400 thousand monthly active deliverymen on the platform.Deliver people, category collectives, social businesses and civil society organizations with proposals that promote concrete and structural improvements, with the potential to generate lasting impact for deliverymen and their communities
“Our goal is to expand the reach of the impact generated by the delivery companies and the organizations that walk with them. This edition was designed to support projects with real transformation potential, whether in access to education, traffic safety, income strengthening, health promotion or other fronts aligned with the pillars of the program. We want to invest in initiatives that leave a positive and lasting legacy for those who live from delivery, their families and the communities around them”, says Luana Ozemela, vice president of Impact and Sustainability at iFood.
IFood Chega Junto was launched in 2023 as part of the company's commitment to social solutions and the strengthening of the delivery community. In the first edition, R$ 1 million was invested in 25 projects selected from more than 500 proposals, directly impacting more than 11 thousand people. The first edition contributed to the redesign of this second edict, with more resources, expanded scope and focus on structuring initiatives.
The selection of projects for this second edition of Chega Junto will be conducted by an external committee of experts from different institutions and areas of social impact, with the support of the consultancy Semente Business, responsible for the entire process of registration, selection and monitoring of initiatives. Among the possible formats are workshops, events, technological platforms, applications, webinars, among others, always focusing on the well-being of deliverymen and their communities.
