A survey conducted by Getnet, the global payment fintech of the Santander Group, during Customer Week (September 15-21, 2025) shows that Brazilian commerce registered a 13.94% increase in revenue compared to the same period in 2024.
The result was primarily driven by digital retail, which saw growth of 12%, while physical retail grew by 9%.
In the segment breakdown, Unclassified Durable Goods led overall growth, with a revenue increase of 25,52%, demonstrating greater consumer appetite for higher-value-added products. Another highlight was the footwear sector, which registered growth of 7,58% during the period. In online retail, the Family Clothing Sales category also performed positively, increasing by 11,12%, reinforcing the importance of apparel in e-commerce.
Analysis of the Customer Week data shows that promotional initiatives, coupled with expanding digital channels, contributed to increased sales during the period.
