A recent survey by Edison Research showed AM/FM radio as the main choice of entertainment and information in the workplace. According to the study, 64% of people prefer radio to accompany the day to day work, standing out for its practicality and diversity of content. Secondly, podcasts appear, chosen by 23% of respondents.
For Roberto Cervo Melon, president of SindiRadio, the Union of Radio and TV Companies of Rio Grande do Sul, these numbers reinforce the relevance of radio in different contexts. “O radio continues to play a key role in the routine of Brazilians, especially in the workplace, where people seek updated information and programming that keeps them connected and productive. This leadership is the result of the radio's ability to reinvent itself and offer accessible and quality content.”
The survey also highlights the radio as a reliable and easily accessible means of communication, adapted to the needs of those seeking information, entertainment and company during the workday.
SindiRadio highlights that the performance of radio is the result of a continuous effort to maintain its relevance, integrating with new formats and digital platforms without losing the essence that captivates listeners. “Radio is plural, democratic and is always within reach of everyone. It is this connection that maintains its leadership and importance in the daily lives of people“, complete Melon.
