Nearly 11,000 Delivery Workers and Small Business Owners Complete High School Through iFood Initiative

Last Tuesday, February 4, to the sound of rapper Hungary, iFood celebrated the graduation of more than 5 thousand participants of the latest edition of the program My High School Diploma. Since the launch of the initiative in 2022, about 11 thousand deliverymen, owners and employees of partner stores of iFood and their families completed the studies. During the event, the company announced the expansion of its commitment to education through iFood Conecta, a new platform that will offer technical and higher courses from R$99.00, in partnership with Anhangueraca Educacional.

According to an internal survey conducted in 2024, The survey also highlighted the positive impacts of the program: 45% of the deliverymen who graduated reported increased income, while 28% said they were enrolled in higher or technical level courses after the completion of High School.

 “The impact of education on our ecosystem is immense. There are almost 11 thousand lives transformed, expanding the prospects for personal and professional growth. Our goal now is to offer these people the chance to advance further, acquiring new knowledge and increasing their earning potential through professional qualification”, explains Luana Ozemela, CSO and Vice President of Impact and Sustainability at iFood.

Launched in 2022, My High School Diploma has already graduated almost 11 thousand people 275 classrooms, consolidating itself as the largest education project of EJA (young and adult & private initiative.

The program offers free support for students to prepare for the National Examination for Certification of Young People and Adults Skills (Encceja), conducted by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anisio Teixeira (Inep), linked to the Ministry of Education (MEC). My Diploma provides study materials, tutoring and simulated, completely free and online, and can be accessed by mobile.  

The initiative reinforces the commitments of iFood with education. Currently, about 26% of the delivery men registered in iFood have not completed this stage of education. By 2025, the platform expands the program with the offer of 35 thousand new scholarships. Higher Education & Food Connect

In order for My Diploma participants to continue their training journey, the platform presents iFood Conecta. Through a partnership with the Anhanguera Educational group deliverymen, owners and employees of partner establishments, they can register for technical and higher courses offered by partner institutions in brand units throughout Brazil.

Participants will be able to choose between the semi-face-to-face or EAD modality, with special conditions and facilitated payment: Graduation or Technologist from R$ 99 per month, technical courses from R$149 monthly and Full Vocational Courses by R$400 at sight or 4x from R$100. 

Administration, Marketing, Logistics, Physical Education, Engineering, Health and Safety at Work and Analysis and Systems Development are examples of options available at Conecta, which will offer more than 90 courses.
