With corporate multi-benefit solutions, Ecx Pay moves R$ 115 million in TPV in the first year of operation and targets competitors

Founded with the purpose of simplifying and unifying the management of all flexible benefits, rewards, salary advances, and corporate expenses in a single application, Ecx Pay celebrates one year of operation with the mark of R$ 115 million in total payment volume (TPV).

The startup for corporate multi-benefit cards currently processes R$ 24 million per month in transactions and serves a base of 1,200 companies and 50,000 users. The expansion plan aims to quadruple this volume by the end of 2025, moving R$ 400 million annually.

“The benefits market generates around R$ 150 billion per year in Brazil, and some companies have already reached R$ 1 billion in monthly TPV in less than five years. We will compete head-to-head, with the differential of unifying all essential financial benefits for HR in a single platform,” says João Henrique Innecco, co-founder of Ecx Pay.

In addition to consolidating corporate benefits on a single card, which can be physical or virtual – an option that reduces implementation and logistic costs for HR managers and also for the employees, who can access the benefit from the first day of work.

The virtual option is also pleasing by meeting ESG goals within client companies – Ecx Pay’s platform also offers AnteciPay, a salary anticipation solution that allows the company to release up to 30% of the salary as credit for card purchases. The HR manager sets the limit and the types of stores where the card can be used. The benefit is cost-managed by the platform and is integrated into the payroll, allowing purchases up to 45 days in advance.

Salary anticipation is a solution that addresses a common issue among Brazilians. According to the Consumer Indebtedness and Default Survey, out of every four Brazilians, three do not have R$ 200 left between salary cycles. ‘We found that 87% of purchases made with AnteciPay by our users are for basic needs such as food and health, with an average ticket of R$ 219. It is a solution that on the one hand prevents employees from accumulating debts or abusive interest, and on the other hand, improves the company’s cash flow and increases employee satisfaction,’ explains João Henrique Innecco.

All Ecx Pay users have access to exclusive discounts of up to 70% at partner networks such as Pague Menos, Drogasil, Droga Raia, Daki, Petlove, and Chefs Club. The platform has also partnered in some states to offer up to 15% discounts on expenses such as electricity. Another benefit for users is the points program with Mastercard, where the user accumulates 1 point with each purchase. Another option the card offers is the ability to withdraw prizes and bonuses for employees directly through the card.

In 2025, Ecx Pay intends to launch two new features. One of them is to transform the benefits card into a corporate card, helping companies to manage their employees’ expenses for travel, office supplies, and daily expenses more easily. Within this modality, Ecx Pay wants to offer a specific feature to help companies manage vehicle fleets, supporting in controlling expenses for vehicle maintenance and refueling.

Operating throughout Brazil, Ecx Pay targets companies with 50 to 2,000 employees and includes brands like MRV, Fini, V4 Company, and Unipar in its portfolio. The startup was conceived within Ecx Card, a company with over 30 years in the market offering meal voucher solutions and has already served over 7 thousand companies, moving over R$ 4 billion.
