Sebrae Woman Business Owner Award is accepting applications until June 15

Recognize, value, and inspire. These are the pillars of the Sebrae Woman in Business Award, which is accepting applications until June 15. The initiative, which has honored women entrepreneurs across the country since 2004, seeks to highlight stories of innovation, resilience, and positive impact on the economy and society.

Exclusively aimed at women leading small businesses, the Award recognizes the stories of those who have faced challenges, turned ideas into enterprises, and actively contributed to the development of their communities. Throughout its history, over 100,000 entrepreneurs have participated in the award, which has become one of Sebrae's most emblematic initiatives for strengthening women's entrepreneurship.

Divided into five categories: Small Business, Rural Producer, Individual Microentrepreneur (MEI), Science and Technology, and International Business, the Award encompasses entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds and sectors, ranging from those just starting out to those already operating in markets outside Brazil.

“The Award is one of Sebrae's most important initiatives focused on women's entrepreneurship. It values the real stories of women who have faced challenges, innovated, and transformed their lives through business. Beyond recognition, it inspires other entrepreneurs and strengthens the ecosystem with positive and powerful role models,” explains Susana Ströher, State Manager of Sebrae Delas.

To participate, the business must have been in operation for at least one year and meet the criteria of each category. Winners gain not only visibility but also support to continue growing and making an impact.

“When we talk about women's entrepreneurship, we are not just talking about women—we are talking about business, and consequently, we are talking about social and economic development. The Award brings visibility and recognition to these inspiring stories of women, allowing them to be shared and paving the way for others,” Ströher explains.
