Two days before the official opening of NRF 2026, the world's largest retail trade show, the Brazilian entrepreneurial ecosystem will already have a strategic meeting point in New York. This Friday, January 9th,, the Google headquarters will host the Sebrae Retail Day, an exclusive event organized by Sebrae RS that will bring together delegations from various Brazilian states.
The meeting is designed as a high-level immersion for entrepreneurs and industry leaders, offering early access to innovations that will shape the market in the coming months. The agenda features participation from giants such as Google and the global technology consultancy ThoughtWorks.
Focus on AI and Small Businesses
The technical program prioritizes the applicability of new technologies. Google executives will present insights on economic and consumer outlooks for 2025, emphasizing the impact of Artificial Intelligence on daily retail operations. ThoughtWorks, represented by Juliana Velozo, will provide a futuristic overview of technological innovations.
”The Retail Day will be a true immersion into the key transformations in retail, focusing on the application of artificial intelligence to small businesses and emerging trends for 2026," highlights Fabiano Zortea, a retail and consumer specialist at Sebrae RS.
A pilot project for national integration
More than just a content event, the Retail Day emerges as a pilot project by Sebrae RS to consolidate a space for Brazilian leadership within the NRF agenda. The goal is to translate global trends into local reality and strengthen networking among state leaders.
“The event will provide an ideal environment for Brazilian entrepreneurs to connect with other retail leaders and share ideas and strategies that can positively impact their businesses,” explains Zortea. The schedule includes dedicated moments for experience exchange and a happy hour networking session.
For the specialist, this initiative marks the establishment of a national reference at the international event: “It offers entrepreneurs the opportunity to get ahead of global trends and apply this knowledge to the development of their businesses,” he concludes.
