The book that analyzes the regulation of Artificial Intelligence in Brazil will be released on November 12, in the Federal Senate. The work “Artificial Intelligence and Regulatory Challenges” is coordinated by Minister Ricardo Villas Boas Cueva, by partner of Serur Advogados, Fabricio da Mota Alves, by lawyer and teacher, Laura Schertel Mendes, and by the founder of Data Privacy Brazil, Bruno Bioni.
With a preface by Senator Rodrigo Pacheco and presentation by Senator Eduardo Gomes, the book brings together analyses of 58 renowned authors on the subject, who focus on the ways in which law can deal with technological transformations, in order to consolidate an effective legal framework of Artificial Intelligence in the country.

The authors rely mainly on fundamental rights to critically examine the construction of Bill 2.338/23, which provides for the development, promotion and ethical and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence based on the centrality of the human person.
In more than 600 pages, the work proposes a reflection on how the relationship between Law, society and technologies has been built. The text goes beyond a normative analysis and explores the regulatory challenges in the face of emerging technologies, encouraging that the regulation of AI depends on a continuous effort, which considers social participation and adapts to technological asymmetries.
