The Brazilian Institute of Legal Sciences (IBCJ), in partnership with the Center for Studies of Economic and Social Law (Cedes), will hold this Saturday (20), at 9am, the Congress “Advocacy and Justice in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”. The event, which will feature the participation of renowned experts, will take place at the Gazeta Theater in Sao Paulo, and will have free admission.
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool already impacts the legal universe and the meeting will discuss its application possibilities and care that inspires. For Thomas Law, president of the IBCJ and vice president of Cedes, the Congress will bring a clearer vision to its legal peers of how AI is being used and its potential.
“With this event we want to help improve our colleagues in the advocacy on Artificial Intelligence. It is imperative that this theme spreads, whether to help them in day-to-day management, task automation, data analysis and jurisprudence, reaching new customers etc, or to discuss the ethical and regulatory challenges we currently face.We need to unite the class so that it walks with the technological transformations”, he points out.
Among the topics under discussion, the panels will address the insertion of AI in the Judiciary. The first panel will discuss the digitization of the Superior Labor Court, with the participation of Ministers Guilherme Augusto Barros and Sergio Pinto Martins. The third panel will deal with the application of AI in the National Council of Justice and in the Paulista Commarcas, with the presence of CNJ member Guilherme Guimaraes Feliciano, the judge Eduardo Azuma Nishi, and the judge of the 1st VT of Caieiras, Rui Cesar Publico Borges Correa.
