Expo Magalu 2025 leverages the success of real Brazilian entrepreneurs to inspire small and medium-sized retailers

On August 21 and 22, 2025, the Expo Magalu 2025 will take place—a major proprietary event hosted by the company, targeting small and medium retailers who currently sell or are interested in joining the company's marketplace. In its fourth edition, the event aims to inspire these entrepreneurs by sharing success stories from real Brazilian business owners. The program includes over 70 presentations, including lectures and interactive experiences. Confirmed speakers include Karla Felmanas, Vice President of pharmaceutical company Cimed; João Branco, former CMO of McDonald’s; Alberto Serrentino; and hairstylist Celso Kamura. The event is expected to attract approximately 6,000 attendees each day and will be held at the Anhembi District in the North Zone of São Paulo. 

The opening session will feature a discussion between Frederico Trajano, CEO of Magalu, and André Fatala, the company's Vice President of Platforms, on how to increase sales and boost conversion rates. The panel will be moderated by Ricardo Garrido, Executive Director of Marketplace. In the afternoon, Luiza Helena Trajano, Chair of the Board of Directors of Magalu, will join Fatala on stage to discuss technology applied to business. Over the two days, across five stages and three arenas, speakers and various Magalu experts will lead approximately 20 hours of debates and knowledge sessions covering topics such as marketing, technology, and logistics.

Platform Updates

During the event, Magalu will announce a series of updates related to its marketplace. These include the launch of new tools, platform usage innovations, and new ad formats for existing partner sellers. All initiatives are designed to streamline the product sales process and enhance the experience for both retailers and consumers, with a focus on increasing sales conversion. 

Key updates include improvements to search and catalog algorithms, the introduction of free shipping for supermarket products stored in Magalu’s distribution centers (Full program), the launch of a tool that identifies correct automotive parts based on the customer’s car year and model, the renewal of the affiliate program, the ability to include videos in product listings and reviews, updates to partner reputation rankings, and the addition of new guidance on the Seller Portal to improve reputation and competitiveness.

Over the two days, UniMagalu—the course hub for marketplace partners—will coordinate the arenas and offer content every 30 minutes. Participants will exchange experiences with experts to gain insights related to ad creation, use of fulfillment services, campaign management, financial management, and more, with the goal of multiplying their sales on the marketplace. 

Expo Magalu 2025 is also supported by the Comunidade Seller Mulheres de Negócios de Luiza. Entrepreneurs from the group, led by Luiza Helena Trajano, will share their experiences and discuss how to effectively leverage support networks for women. Additionally, all retail brands within the Magalu ecosystem—Netshoes, KaBuM!, and Época Cosméticos—will be present at the event.
