Skeelo is one of LinkedIn’s Top Startups for the second year in a row

Skeelo, a reading platform and community, which has the largest app and the largest social network of books in the country, Skoob, was recognized for the second year in a row by LinkedIn as one of the Top Startups of 2024. The presence on the list, which includes companies from different sectors, highlights the positive impact of Skeelo on democratizing access to reading and on the development of the country’s startup ecosystem.

For Skeelo’s founder and CEO, Rodrigo Meinberg, the achievement demonstrates the rapid growth of the company, which has been innovating in the reading market with digital solutions and an active community. “Since the beginning of the company, we have been acting to change Brazilians’ relationship with reading, using technology to simplify access and consumption of great works. We are committed to moving the digital publishing market, bringing benefits to all involved, readers, publishers, customers, and especially being an effective tool in combating piracy,” he affirms. “Skeelo’s mission is to be the largest reading platform and community in the world,” he adds.

In full growth, Skeelo has significant engagement numbers with over 20 million app installations, over 2 million monthly users, and over 182 million minutes of reading consumption, just in the first half of the year. The five-year-old, genuinely Brazilian company has over 110 clients and partnerships with the largest publishers in the national retail.

The startup also stands out as an employer brand, registering a 42% growth in the volume of people applying for positions compared to 2023. Of all applications, 84% of candidates come directly from LinkedIn, of which 40% were hired.
