Simpress expands logistics structure with 7 hubs and 50 mini-hubs nationwide to streamline service

A Simpress, a TI equipment outsourcing company for notebooks, smartphones, and printers, announced an ambitious logistic decentralization project with the creation of 7 hubs and 50 mini-hubs in the main capitals and regions of Brazil. The company has over 600,000 devices allocated in companies throughout the country such as Pague Menos, Cobasi, Yamaha, Hermes Pardini, Dasa, and Harald. In many cases, Simpress equipment is used in critical operations where a stopped device can impact sales, patient care, or business continuity. Simpress delivers a device every 12 seconds, totaling approximately 3,000 deliveries per day, 60,000 per month, and over 700,000 per year to customers across the country. When all movements are considered (receipt, sending, transfer, and pickup), this number increases to 2.5 million per year – including new equipment, supplies, maintenance parts, etc.

It is an extremely efficient yet complex process that until recently was carried out from three Simpress distribution centers in Itajaí (1), in Santa Catarina, and in Osasco (2), in the metropolitan region of São Paulo. Over the past few years, as the company grew rapidly, multiplying its revenue and the number of devices allocated to its customers, Simpress designed a project to decentralize its logistic operation, which gains strength with the opening of hubs in Santa Catarina, Espírito Santo, Brasília, Paraná, Ceará, Bahia, and Rio Grande do Sul, in addition to mini-hubs across Brazil.

“Some changes and transformations are inevitable, and the increasing adoption of the IT equipment outsourcing model by companies is one of them. It doesn’t make sense, even financially, for a company to buy a computer or notebook and have to take care of it over time. The advantages of outsourcing are so many that once a company starts, it doesn’t go back on this model. We are confident that we are close to a turning point, where notebook and smartphone outsourcing will become dominant, just as printer outsourcing became more than two decades ago in the country when we pioneered this business model,” says Vittorio Danesi, CEO of Simpress. “Today, our churn rate is already very low – less than 0.5% per year – and offering a complete solution that receives great approval from our clients is a satisfaction for us. With the new hubs and mini-hubs, around 85% of the emergency demand for parts and equipment will be served locally with even more agility and efficiency”.

In 2023, Simpress discreetly inaugurated the first hubs in Brasília, Santa Catarina, and Espírito Santo. With the good results achieved, the company gave the green light for expansion and strengthening of the project in 2024, with the creation of new hubs. The next units will be in Curitiba, Porto Alegre, Fortaleza, and Salvador, with operations starting in January 2025. The 50 mini-hubs are located in capitals and smaller cities where Simpress has significant operations, enabling deliveries within hours after ordering. For strategic reasons, the company does not disclose the mini-hubs’ locations. With the new spaces, Simpress ensures that devices (such as notebooks, PCs, tablets, printers, smartphones, and data collectors) are available more quickly to a larger number of customers nationwide.

With 60 out of the 100 largest companies in the country as clients, Simpress’ outsourcing solution goes beyond leasing: it offers complete management and delivery of personalized devices ready for use, including continuous support and monitoring to ensure optimal equipment performance. In case of breakage or theft, the replacement is quick, minimizing impacts for the customer. The company stands out for its service throughout Brazil, with aggressive SLA and comprehensive solutions that integrate multiple services. In addition, security is prioritized to ensure efficient management and protect the device fleet.

Currently, the company serves the outsourcing demands of more than 4,200 out of the 5,570 Brazilian municipalities, representing 75% of cities and 95% of the country’s population. Simpress uses different modes of transportation – airplane, ship, car, motorcycle, and bus – with its own fleet (some of it electric) and outsourced, as well as logistics partners, to ensure fast and efficient deliveries and adapt to the specific needs of each region. The implementation of hubs and mini-hubs will expand this coverage, increase Simpress’ responsiveness, minimize transport time, and reduce carbon emissions, aligning with sustainability goals. The measure also reduces delivery costs by saving on shipping, as the new spaces will be closer to customers.

“Simpress is currently the largest IT equipment outsourcing company in terms of reach, supporting operations in all regions of Brazil, including remote locations. Our logistics operation is unparalleled and a significant competitive advantage today in the outsourcing segment. Now, with hubs and mini-hubs, we take the next step in terms of quality. This is a transformative project for Simpress, with the potential to further enhance customers’ experience with IT outsourcing,” says Carlos Pulici, the company’s Vice President of Operations. “Simpress’s presence in so many municipalities is supported by robust logistics, backed by transport partners and advanced technologies. Hubs and mini-hubs help us strengthen Simpress’s reach as decentralization not only reduces delivery time but also improves customer satisfaction, providing even closer and more agile service.”

Simpress also implements artificial intelligence in stock planning, ensuring that hubs and mini-hubs are always prepared to meet local demand. AI enables automatic stock balancing, without manual intervention, optimizing replenishment and avoiding excesses or shortages.

With hubs and mini-hubs strategically positioned throughout the country, Simpress not only transforms your logistics but also redefines the cutting-edge service model in the sector. This new structure is a bold move that places the company ahead of the demands of an increasingly demanding market, where responsiveness is a major advantage. For Simpress, it’s not enough to deliver technology – it’s necessary to be one step ahead in logistics and, even more so, in customer experience. In this way, Simpress redefines what it means to be a leader in IT device outsourcing in Brazil. In this scenario, constant innovation and local presence become central pieces of an increasingly dynamic and competitive game.
