Sestini restructures site and reinforces commitment to digital accessibility

In an increasingly connected world, ensuring equal access to information and digital consumption is a necessity and a commitment. With that in mind, Sestini, a national reference in bags, backpacks, suitcases, and accessories, announces the complete restructuring of its website, now adapted to the best digital accessibility practices through EqualWeb technology, a company with several certifications and adjustments.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 1.3 billion people live with some type of significant disability. Mindful of this scenario, Sestini invests in resources that guarantee inclusive, fluid, and secure navigation for all audiences. “We want all people to have a positive experience when browsing our site, regardless of their physical, cognitive, or sensory conditions,” says Liora Benedek, E-commerce coordinator at Sestini.

Accessibility as a pillar of the digital experience

EqualWeb offers over 40 digital accessibility features, all of which have been incorporated into the new Sestini website. The solutions cater to people with low vision, blindness, color blindness, motor disabilities, cognitive, intellectual, epilepsy, dyslexia, autism, ADHD, as well as elderly people, illiterates, or those in literacy phases. The features are activated according to the individual user’s needs or through predefined profiles.

Among the features, the text reader and image descriptions for visually impaired individuals stand out; keyboard navigation, voice commands, and intelligent resources for people with motor limitations; in addition to contrast adjustments, saturation, legible font, and custom reading modes, ideal for individuals with dyslexia or attention disorders. The site also offers tools such as magnifying glass, reading guide, integrated dictionary, and glare interval blocking, contributing to a safer and more comfortable navigation.

Modernization that goes beyond accessibility

More than making the site accessible, Sestini also took advantage of the update to modernize the entire user experience. Navigation is smoother and faster, thanks to optimized loading times. The search function has been enhanced, making it easier to locate products. The menu is now more intuitive and organized, offering a more pleasant journey.

The product pages have also undergone significant improvements: the cards now have a more efficient visual layout, with color variations that facilitate viewing. The items also feature explanatory iconography, detailed information about the warranty, and, in the case of carry-on bags, a size guide with the rules of the main airlines, assisting in the purchase decision.

Certified compliance and institutional recognition

The partnership with EqualWeb also ensures that the Sestini website complies with the most stringent standards and regulations. The solution is certified by ISO 27001, is aligned with LGPD (General Data Protection Law), and has seals from ABNT and ABES, as well as follows the international guidelines of the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). The technology is also recognized by the UN Global Compact – United Nations Organization, reinforcing the brand’s alignment with sustainable and inclusive practices.
