Sebrae Women of Business Award is open for registration until June 15

Recognizing, valuing, and inspiring. These are the pillars of the Sebrae Women in Business Award, which is open for applications until June 15th. The initiative, which has been honoring women entrepreneurs nationwide since 2004, aims to highlight stories of innovation, resilience, and positive impact on the economy and society.

Aimed exclusively at women leading small businesses, the Award recognizes stories of those who have faced challenges, turned ideas into companies, and actively contributed to the development of their communities. Throughout its history, over 100,000 female entrepreneurs have participated in the award, becoming one of Sebrae’s most emblematic actions for strengthening female entrepreneurship.

Divided into five categories: Small Businesses, Rural Producer, Individual Microentrepreneur (MEI), Science and Technology, and International Business, the Award features entrepreneurs from different backgrounds and sectors, from beginners to those operating in international markets outside Brazil.

“The Award is one of the most important initiatives by Sebrae focused on female entrepreneurship. It values real stories of women who have faced challenges, innovated, and transformed their lives through business. In addition to recognition, it inspires other entrepreneurs and strengthens the ecosystem with positive and powerful references,” details Susana Ströher, Sebrae Delas State Manager.

To participate, it is necessary for the business to have been in existence for at least one year and to meet the criteria for each category. The winners not only gain visibility but also receive support to continue growing and generating impact.

“When we talk about female entrepreneurship, we are not only talking about women, we are talking about businesses and consequently we are talking about social and economic development. And the Award brings visibility and recognition to these inspiring stories of women to be contacted and paves the way for others,” explains Ströher.
